New rules for visiting the University of Warsaw Botanic Garden
In connection with the upcoming opening of the Garden, we provide an annex to the Regulations for visiting the University of Warsaw Botanic Garden. The annex is valid from May 11, 2020 until further notice.

From 11 May 2020, the UWBG is open from Monday to Friday from 12 to 18 (last admission at 17.00), and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 to 18 (last entry at 17.00). All information about changes in the functioning and the opening hours of the Garden during the pandemic will be published on the website www.ogrod.uw.edu.pl and on the UWBG Facebook page (fb: Ogród Botaniczny Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego).
UWBG is only accessible through the gate from the main courtyard (only the ticket office next to the Astronomical Observatory is open), while the exit is only through the gate at Aleje Ujazdowskie. Greenhouses remain closed for visitors.
During your stay at the Garden, you must strictly follow the guidelines of the state authorities and the University of Warsaw regarding the pandemic, follow the Regulations for visiting the Garden and any instructions of the Garden’s employees.
Persons who are under quarantine or suffering from COVID-19 are forbidden to enter the Garden.
Due to the rules related to maintaining a safe distance between people and the limited area open to visitors at UWBG, there is a limit of 200 entries per hour.
As far as possible, visitors are asked to make entry payments using payment cards
Persons visiting the Garden are obliged in particular to:
- cover the nose and mouth with a protective mask or items of clothing;
- keep a 2-meter distance from other visitors and staff;
- individually sit on park benches (one bench-one person);
- disinfect hands before entering the toilet building;
- maintain strict sanitary rules.
People who do not comply with the Regulations for visiting the Garden and the abovementioned recommendations, will be asked to leave the Garden without the possibility of a ticket refund.
